TS'ZIL LEARNING CENTRE

Murphy Construction and the Lil’wat Nation worked together to be approved for funding of the 7.21 million-dollar grant from the Government of Canada’s Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development to build the 23,000 sq-ft post-secondary school, the Ts’zil Learning Centre.

WHISTLER BLACKCOMB HARMONY CHAIR STORAGE BARN

Description: Commercial 

Murphy Construction was awarded the construction of the Harmony Lift Chair Storage Barn through a competitive tender. The building is approximately 130’x55’ and is constructed of 18’ high reinforced CIP concrete walls with a steel truss roof spanning the entire width of the building without intermediate support. The finishes above the concrete included transparent coloured polycarbonate panels, metal paneling, metal fascia and soffit. This building is located at approximately 5500’ elevation on Whistler Mountain and was constructed July-Oct 2013.  This was awarded to Murphy Construction after a competitive bid process and was completed on time and on budget. MCC value-engineered this project to meet our client’s budget.

CUSTOM HOME

Whistler, BC

Description: Residential High-end House Build

MCC was selected as the contractor in Sept 2019 to build this very detailed custom home in Whistler, BC from the ground up. Set in one of the most prominent neighbourhoods within the resort community, it was important to meet the high-end expectations of the build. The details of the home are truly exceptional from the beautiful custom millwork to the detailed superior glazing.

LIL'WAT STREET DUPLEXES

Lil'wat Nation, Mount Currie, BC

Description: Multi-Residential

Construction of three - three bedroom duplexes located in Mount Currie, BC. Rental units providing housing for community members. Each unit is 1200 sq. ft. and includes upgrades such as instant hot water tanks, solar panels, and heating/AC systems.

SAMAHQUAM RENTAL DUPLEXES

Samahquam Nation, BC

Construction of two duplexes (4 x 1,000 square feet units) for the Samahquam Nation, BC. This build is to serve as rental housing for the Samahquam community, located approximately 33 kms down the West Lillooet Lake Road (Baptist Smith).

QUEEN OF PEACE MONASTERY

Description: Monastery

Murphy Construction completed the build of the Queen of Peace Monastery (16.5km up Squamish Valley Road) in August 2012. This structure is a 23,000 square foot timber-frame building nestled into the mountainside facing the amazing Tantalus Mountain Range. This unique build is a testament to the wide range of services that Murphy Construction can offer.

2010 VANOC WHISTLER ATHLETES'
VILLAGE / CHEAKAMUS CROSSING

Description: Multi-Residential/Commercial

Murphy Construction was awarded 85 units in the Whistler Athletes' Village in September 2007. The Village accommodated 2,400 athletes, coaches and officials with 450 beds made especially for wheelchair access. These units were constructed under the LEED neighbourhood (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) program as required by the developer.
