Graham Murphy
CEO
As the founder of Murphy Construction, Graham Murphy has led the organization to what it is today. Founded in 1997, he has built many homes, multi-family residential, industrial projects including renovations and restorations throughout Western, BC. Growing up in the UK he brings his worldly experience and skills to the ever-growing Sea to Sky community. Settling in Pemberton with his wife and two children, he has a passion for his community supporting local events and charities and donates his time coaching soccer.

Maja McCloskey
General Manager
Maja McCloskey is always looking for improvements and getting results to ensure that Murphy Construction is running like a well-oiled machine. She oversees the day to day running of the company. From number crunching and analyzing the financials to putting processes in place and tackling relationships in and outside the organization, Maja is a detailed-orientated, big-picture thinker. She joined the team in 2018 and has quickly become a core member of the Murphy Construction team.

Rae Lehmann
Senior Project Manager
Rae Lehmann joined Murphy Construction in 2018 with a strong background of project management in Australia, the land down under. She excels in her role and is the master of all details, and her project management abilities are like no other. Rae is a critical member of the team and has seen through, start to finish, a number of successful projects at Murphy Construction.

Jamie McGale
Project Manager
Jamie has been working in construction for several years subsequent to completing a degree in Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management. Jamie has managed a wide variety of construction projects ranging from cruise ships to high-end commercial properties to custom homes. He has worked across the globe and brings a diversity of knowledge and management expertise to the team.

Alan Corrigan
Project Manager
Qualifying as a Quantity Surveyor (Commercial Cost Manager) in 2014, Alan brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the construction industry both in Canada and from his homeland, Ireland. Primarily specializing in the delivery of large scale commercial Healthcare projects in Dublin Ireland, this public sector background has provided Alan with an in depth knowledge of stipulated price contracts and working in occupied & clean spaces. Before joining Murphy Construction, Alan had been working as a Project Manager in Whistler for several years, successfully delivering a number of high-end residential & commercial interior & exterior renovation projects on time and within budget. These include a major HVAC system overhaul at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre while maintaining full occupancy and an extensive Tenant Improvement delivered under a compressed schedule at Spiritleaf retail unit. Alan’s extensive experience in renovations has helped him understand the importance of aligning with the client’s needs in order to deliver a successful project with minimal impact to operations.

Grace Kerr
Project Coordinator
Grace Kerr, Murphy Construction's Project Coordinator is a natural when it comes to collecting the details and ensuring that all the pieces are organized whether big or small. Ultimately, Grace is the glue that works with the entire project team to ensure all the details on each and every project are perfect and that nothing is missed. Grace's brings a wealth of knowledge to the team with a strong background in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. She truly understands the challenges that a client may experience during a project while trying to manage a successful operation simultaneously.

Lauren Hanssen
Project Coordinator
Murphy Construction's Project Coordinator, Lauren Hanssen is a core member of the team. Meticulous and detail-oriented, Lauren is a master multi-tasker and is well-versed in ensuring the intricate logistics of a company are performed accurately and efficiently. She is a quick learner with a versatile skill set who can support clients and the Murphy team in any capacity.

Alison Friebel
Project Coordinator
Alison is a Project Coordinator at Murphy Construction. After recently completing schooling in Project Management in Construction, she began her journey with the company as an intern and has since progressed into her current role. With a keen eye for detail, Alison also holds a background in Architectural and Structural Design and has previously worked as a Technologist at an Engineering Firm in Ontario. She brings valuable skills in designing and drafting buildings and structures to the team. Alison is eager to further develop her skills and leverage her experiences to enhance our team's success and ensure client satisfaction.

Clara Edwards
Project Coordinator
Clara, a proud member of the Lil’wat Nation, began her career with Murphy Construction in 2017 as a Carpenter Helper. Over the years, she gained hands-on experience in all aspects of carpentry—from forming and framing to finishing. In 2021, she earned her Red Seal certification and continued working as a Carpenter, taking on increased responsibility and contributing to a wide range of projects. After several years on the tools, Clara transitioned into a Project Coordinator role, where she now supports scheduling, planning, and communication between the site and office teams. Her carpentry background gives her a practical, grounded understanding of the building process, allowing her to anticipate challenges and help keep projects running smoothly. Clara’s experience, attention to detail, and steady presence make her a valuable part of the Murphy Construction team.

Lindy Lovering
Accounting Manager
Numbers is where it is at for Lindy. She is a wizard with QuickBooks and could teach a course on bookkeeping. Lindy is extremely detailed oriented…right down to the penny. Lindy makes sure everyone on our team is super excited every two weeks by paying them, and she also handles all the accounting for our subcontractors, trades, and vendors. Lindy is the master of making sure the office runs smoothly and the teams have what they need.

Nancy Zhao
Administrator
Nancy comes with a varied background of skills and experiences. She has been an executive assistant to a machine manufacturing company in Shanghai, a wealth and investment administrator in the UK and most recently, you can find her working in the dental office next door. She is here to help support the office with any administrative needs you may have.

Dave Burns
Site Superintendent
Dave Burns, Murphy Constructions Senior Site Superintendent, has been with the organization since 2007 and has completed such projects as Whistler’s Athletes Village, Tyax Lodge Renovation, Queen of Peace Monastery, Village Gate House envelope remediation, Tyndal Stone Lodge, Ts’zil Learning Centre, and Vail Resorts Gondola Barn. He is responsible for managing staff and trades, ensuring that procedures are followed and communicating with the project managers. The primary responsibilities of a supervisor are to make sure that work is completed on the site, to ensure compliance with company procedures and to create performance metrics. Dave is known to be loved by all the trades and vendors he works with.

Shayne Peters
Site Supervisor
Shayne Peters, Murphy Construction Site Supervisor has been with the company since 2014 and has completed such projects as the Lil’Wat Duplexes, Ts’zil Learning Centre, held the role of assistant supervisor on the Lil’Wat Gas Station and supervised the Lil’Wat Elders 6Plex. Prior to working with Murphy Construction, Shayne spent 5 years building homes in Squamish and 7 years on custom homes in Whistler. He Project Managed the renovation of the Southern Stl’atl’imx Health Society Administration Building which MCC has returned to complete an extension on. Shayne is a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter with attention to detail and real pride in the work he does and Murphy construction is lucky to have him on our team!

Chris Malthaner
Site Supervisor
Chris brings over 30 years of well-rounded construction experience to the Murphy team. He got an early start in the trades during his teens, learning everything from painting and tiling to plumbing, wiring, and refinishing hardwood floors. Though he spent several years at university, he ultimately realized he preferred working with his hands and returned to construction full-time. Early in his career, Chris spent summers building fences, decks, and installing interlock driveways and walkways. After relocating to Pemberton in the mid-90s, he began building homes and eventually started his own business. Since then, he has worked throughout the Sea to Sky region—including Whistler, Pemberton, and Lillooet Lake—gaining experience in nearly every aspect of residential construction. His work has spanned from site prep and excavation to forming, framing, mechanical and electrical systems, insulation, drywall, siding, and roofing. He also completed a full commercial renovation in downtown Squamish in 2017. In addition to construction, Chris has extensive experience as an arborist and has cleared thousands of trees across a wide range of properties. His knowledge of land clearing and site preparation continues to be a valuable asset. More recently, Chris transitioned into the multi-family construction sector, where he moved from finishing and deficiency work into leadership roles. His progression into site supervision is backed by decades of hands-on experience, a deep understanding of the building process, and a practical, team-oriented approach to project management. Chris’s broad skill set, work ethic, and commitment to quality make him a strong and reliable Site Supervisor, and a great addition to the Murphy Construction team.
