How long does it take to build a home?
Murphy Constructions goal with these homes are to stream line the process over conventional time frames when it comes to completing the project start to finish. Depending on your home size and location construction can be 4-12 months.
Why wood paneling on the walls and concrete flooring?
Wood paneling adds warmth and durability practical choice for long term maintenance. It also reduces the number of touch points during construction, which is especially valuable in remote locations. The concrete floors are sealed for a clean, finished appearance, while also providing the flexibility to install alternative flooring in the future if desired. Both materials are included in the baseline price, though you are welcome to select alternative materials.
Can I customize the homes?
Yes, most materials have a colour range you can chose from at no extra cost. However the pricing is based on the most cost effective options that Murphy has tried and trusted to provide you with a starting point, from there you are able to upgrade, customize and alter both the specifications and the floor plan.
What items can I customize?
You have the flexibility to upgrade and customize many aspects of your home, including building materials, interior finishes, window sizes, flooring, fixtures, appliances, and even the floor plan layout. Murphy's goal is to ensure your home reflects what matters most to you. Some customizations may come with an additional cost, but we welcome all inquiries and will work with you to find and price the options that best fit your needs. Where do you deliver to?
Virtually any location—whether local, rural, or remote-access only. Over the years, Murphy has built strong relationships working in remote communities and have made it our priority to ensure these homes can be delivered wherever you live.
What additional cost will I encounter on top of the base pricing?
Additional cost may incur depending on your site location and condition. Please refer to the floor plan page or contact us for a consultation.
How does payment work?
Murphy Construction requires a down deposit at the start and then once construction has started you will receive an invoice at the beginning, middle and end of the construction period.
What if don't know what I want or how to build a home?
You do not need to know anything about building practices or what it takes to build a unit, that is what Murphy Construction's job is and why Murphy has crafted these pre- designed homes. Start the conversation with us and we will guide you through it.
Can I build on my land and do I need permits?
Maybe, depending on where your land is situated it can vary, Murphy will work with you to ask the right people and submit the right documentation if needed.
