Murphy Construction and the Lil’wat Nation worked together to be approved for funding of the 7.21 million-dollar grant from the Government of Canada’s Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development to build the 23,000 sq-ft post-secondary school, the Ts’zil Learning Centre.

RENDEZVOUS LODGE

Blackcomb Mountain/ Whistler, BC

Description: Renovation

MCC completed both interior and exterior renovations of the 32,000 square foot alpine lodge with renovations to building envelope, guest areas, kitchen servery and back of house kitchen. Also included renovation to Christine's fine dining restaurant. Completed in remote location atop Blackcomb Mountain. Completed on a CCDC2-2008 Stipulated Price Contract.

TYNDALL STONE FIRE REBUILD

Description: Insurance Rebuild of 28 town home units

Post fire rebuild and finishing of 28 town home units on two levels and rebuild to lockup of eight commercial units to TI stage on ground level.  Completed strata insurance scope of work, owner's betterments insurance scope of work and owner upgrade contracts simultaneously. Completed on a CCDC2-2008 Stipulated Price Contract.

Murphy Construction completed the build of the Queen of Peace Monastery (16.5km up Squamish Valley Road) in August 2012. This structure is a 23,000 square foot timber-frame building nestled into the mountainside facing the amazing Tantalus Mountain Range. TYAX WILDERNESS RESORT & SPA

Goldbridge, BC

Murphy Construction was contracted to renovate all existing areas of this unique log structure; as well as adding a luxurious spa facility with a yoga and workout room. This multi-million dollar renovation was a design-build in conjunction with a team of consultants and included extensive renovations to all guest rooms – complete with new exterior log post and beam deck structures.

WHISTLER WESTIN EXTERIOR

In the fall of 2013, Murphy Construction engaged in a five-phase building maintenance program with the Whistler Westin Resorts and Resorts. Building resurfacing, painting and remedial work were the main components, and all five phases were completed by fall of 2017.

WHISTLER WESTIN GRILL & VINE

In the fall of 2013, Murphy Construction was contracted by the O’Neill Hotels Group to complete a full restaurant renovation in the Aubergine Grille & Vine in Whistler. During a very short construction schedule we completed a full restaurant makeover incorporating a new wood fire pizza oven, “grab and go” area and lounge renovation.

CARLETON LODGE

Description: Envelope Remediation, Restoration, Construction Management.

MCC was contracted to provide management and contract services for the building envelope restoration project at the Carleton Lodge, Whistler BC. This project entails full window and siding removal, roofing and patio replacement as well as some interior renovations while the commercial owner’s (Longhorn Bar and Grill and Whistler/Blackcomb retail location) remain open for business.

2010 VANOC ATHLETES VILLAGE

Murphy Construction was awarded the contract to build 85 units in the Whistler Athletes Village for the 2010 Olympics in September 2007. The Village accommodated 2,400 athletes, coaches and officials with 450 beds made especially for wheelchair access.

WB HARMONY CHAIR STORAGE

Murphy Construction was awarded the construction of the Harmony Lift Chair Storage Barn through a competitive tender. The building is approximately 130’x55’ and is constructed of 18’ high reinforced CIP concrete walls with a steel truss roof spanning the entire width of the building without intermediate support.
