Murphy Construction offers professional Construction Management services in all areas of construction including planning, design, pre-construction and post-construction phases. These services are offered with the objective of concluding a successful project in terms of quality, cost, time and scope of work. During the summer and fall of 2010 we provided Construction Management Services for the successful completion of a multi-million dollar renovation of a 35 year old timber construction wilderness resort.
Our select team of Project Manager’s is responsible for the overall planning, coordination and control of a project from inception to completion. We aim to meet a client’s requirements in order to produce a functional and financially viable project that is completed on time and on budget. During the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, Murphy Construction provided Project Management Services to VANOC as Maintenance Service Provider for the Olympic and Paralympic Village in Whistler, BC.
General Construction is overseeing the day-to-day activities of a project and the management of vendors and trades. Murphy Construction provides this service on several projects from new construction to full and partial renovations.
Providing restoration services is to return a property to it’s pre-existing condition depicting its form, features and character as they appeared prior to a devastating event. Murphy Construction has a solid reputation with local insurance adjusters for providing excellent restoration services to clients – returning their homes to a “like-kind-quality” prior to an insurance loss. We work in conjunction with owner’s to complete restoration projects in a timely manner – taking all owner’s requests into consideration during the process.
Construction renovations can be very minor or large enough to disrupt a business or household. We make every effort to make the impact of a renovation as painless as possible – keeping to a schedule and ensuring that communication between the Project Manager and client are open and clear.
Murphy Construction has gained excellent working relationships with architects and engineers with impeccable building envelope reputations. The building envelope is the physical separator between the interior and the exterior environments of a building and is therefore an integral part of any structure. The building envelope normally has a 5 year warranty on all structures that are covered under the Home Protection Office so retaining a contractor that has already built these integral relationships is very important.
Murphy Construction was the contractor of choice for the Whistler Mountain Pump House and Compressor Station projects; both VANOC related. The logistics of these on-mountain structures were difficult at the best times, however we were able to maintain a diligent working schedule and bring the projects in on time and on budget.
